Solaris, one of the largest superyachts to launch in 2021, has hit the water for the first time.
The 145 metre superyacht currently in the German yard Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven. She is promising to be amongst the largest superyachts in the world. Very little information has been released so far, as projects of this calibre are often under strict privacy agreements, understandably. However, we know that the yacht has eight decks, as well as a helicopter pad and a spacious beach club aft.
Project Solaris will boast a displacement hull with a bulbous bow, with the hull built-in steel and the superstructure also constructed in steel. There will be numerous and very vast teaks decks, offering unprecedented areas for the owner and guests to fully enjoy their time onboard, with huge socialising areas, saloons, a number of dining options and features such as swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gym, spa, amazing beach club or a helicopter deck are expected.
The yacht will most certainly feature the latest in technology on board with the most innovative features and materials used, in addition to the highest quality of construction executed with the most precise attention to detail.
Solaris can accommodate up to thirty-six passengers and a crew of sixty. The explorer vessel has become the eighth vessel in Roman Abramovich’s fleet. According to some sources she’ll cost £430 million to build.
The yacht is due to be delivered in Spring or early Summer of 2021.
Lloyd Werft is located on a site covering more than 260,000 square metres in Bremerhaven’s Überseehafen on the German North Sea coast. Three large dry and floating docks, as well as high-performance workshops and logistics sectors, make it possible to build and convert ships more than 300m in length and with a draw up to 11m.
